Re-Thinking Bulk Email Marketing And How could It Affect Your Business?

Today, there are a wide variety of marketing strategies available.

Businesses and professionals are getting more and more creative in advertising with the addition of recent technologies. Getting consumers the information about a new or enhanced product or services has become much easier with the advent of the internet.

The invention of the internet or the World Wide Web is the most innovative and useful tool for any kind of business. It provides for quicker and easier communication with consumers from all parts of the globe. It also allows the sharing of ideas, concepts or anything you can think of via email.

Bulk email marketing can be defined in two ways depending on who is being asked. Some people refer to it as a way of marketing – mass marketing, direct marketing, or opt-in list – of a product or service to more than one individual simultaneously thru their email addresses. This is the point of view of the senders of these email messages. However, most people refer to this kind of marketing technique as SPAM. These people are usually those who receive these marketing and advertising emails. SPAM has become a universal term that refers to any unwanted, unproductive and unethical activity done over the internet. For bulk email marketing, SPAM refers to unsolicited junk email.

For the many authors who do not yet know how to make article marketing work for their business

They are actually wasting all their time and efforts. A total waste. Why? Because even though you are producing quality articles, you are not really getting near enough to your targeted market.

For those who have been taught about copywriting outside the online world, they would know that the title or headline is one thing that will determine if the content will be successful or not. In books, for example, the first thing that people see is the title. And people, being critical, have the tendency to judge the whole book just from the title. They will even get to the point where the headline alone will make them buy or not buy that book. This is the same thing with online print ads.

But it is a different case with article marketing. In article marketing, your articles are targeted to audiences that have an interest in them. This is the basic idea behind distributing one online. You have to make sure that your article marketing will be seen by your current product or service consumers and your potential product or service consumers.

More Lessons in Internet Marketing & Sales – Part II

Lesson 2: How Internet Marketing Works

From the last lesson, we learned that internet marketing was essentially the act of solving problems. I spoke of the marketer as a “middleman”, someone who brought together people who had a problem with the solution that they were looking for. This is really as simple as it gets; for some reason, people tend to make it more complicated than it’s supposed to be.

Regardless of whether you conduct your marketing online or offline, it’s all the same. You’re still the problem-solving middleman. A marketer who works “offline” tends to work as part of a team. They might be charged with the task of trying to sell a product and finding the group of people who the product is best suited to.

This may involve surveys, giving out free samples and getting people to do short questionnaires. At any rate, it’s pretty time consuming and a lot of it involves the marketers themselves having to go out and collect this data.

The next best thing about the Internet is that people go on it predominantly to find information. There are numerous ways to do this. One of the most popular is to type your search query into a search engine, such as “www.Google.com” or “www.Yahoo.com!”.

In other words, information is being virtually force fed into this search engine on a daily basis, every second. This is a marketer’s dream come true; gone are the days where you have to go out and painstakingly collect data. All the data that is needed is right there in front of you, on your computer screen.

Think about it. If someone is typing in the phrase, “how to lose weight”, what do you think that person is after? Information on how to lose weight, of course. Then again, they might be after a diet, an exercise or a liposuction clinic in their local area. Whatever they are after, they will type it in.

Someone who types in, “how to lose weight by skipping rope” has a clearer idea of how he or she wants to lose weight than the first person. If you provide them the means of “how to lose weight by skipping rope”, what do you think you’re doing?
